As a Half Life fan who fondly remembers HL1 as one of the very first PC games I ever played as a kid, and also as a firm believer in VR (and AR) being the inevitable future of essentially all entertainment, when Alyx released to overwhelmingly positive reactions I was relieved and so glad Valve lived up to the huge pre-launch hype. If there ever was a game worthy of upgrading or building a gaming PC for, Half Life Alyx is it.
